Since 1977, Radiology Imaging Associates (RIA) has provided full-service diagnostic and interventional radiology services, right here in the heart of communities across southern Maryland and northern Virginia. Our sub-specialty trained Radiologists are on-site every day for patients and referring physicians in our convenient, comfortable outpatient centers. All of our technologists are registered and licensed.

MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) is a noninvasive diagnostic test that takes detailed images of the soft tissues of the body. |

Nuclear medicine is used to diagnose and determine the severity of or treat a variety of diseases, including many types of cancers, heart disease, and other abnormalities within the body. |

Ultrasound imaging uses a transducer or probe to generate sound waves and produce pictures of the body's internal structures. |

Mammograms can be used to check for breast cancer in women who have no signs or symptoms of the disease. |

Positron emission tomography (PET) uses small amounts of radioactive materials called radio-tracers, a special camera and a computer to help evaluate your organ and tissue functions. |

Dexa scans are often used to diagnose osteoporosis and to assess an individual’s risk for developing fractures. |

Fluoroscopy is a type of x-ray procedure that captures moving images, allowing the radiologist to observe the functioning as well as the anatomy of internal organs. |
